The study concludes that introducing a high quality fixed link transport service to the area, along with other transport interventions could be a catalyst to unlocking significant economic development both at regional and national level. It anticipates that significant transport improvements would bring forward development of the Edinburgh BioQuarter, a site of national importance, by three years and that without a step-change in public transport, Phase 4 of the BioQuarter will be unlikely to proceed without this fixed link
